Book Description Melvin Malloy's a down-on-his-luck private investigator whose lack of recent success has caused him to hit the bottle hard. He lives on a police-force disability check in a grim apartment above a homeless shelter in Seattle's Pioneer Square; he spends his days staring out the window of a coffee shop and his nights staring at the bottom of a bottle. And then one night, a café worker bangs on Malloy's door looking for a ride to the airport. He won't say what he's done — just that he needs to get out of town, fast. Soon, Malloy becomes consumed with finding out what this kid has done. After discovering the kid is wanted for murder, Malloy's search for the truth leads him into the dregs of Seattle society: prostitutes, crack addicts, Vietnamese gangsters. All Malloy wants to do is clear his former friend's name. When it seems like his leads have dried out, a dying man whispers four words to Malloy: "Find The Youngest Boy." Where will it lead? God only knows. Follow Malloy down the rabbit-hole in DiFranco Murray's debut thrill-ride. |
